About
About / How This Works
A quick guide to what this tool does, how your data is stored, and how to use it safely.
About This Tool
Rock & Refuge Parenting Journal™ is a documentation and organization tool designed to help users record parenting time, exchanges, incidents, communications, expenses, health concerns, evidence, and follow-up items in one structured place.
The goal is to help users document patterns clearly and calmly without escalating conflict.
How Records Are Stored
Records are stored in this browser unless exported. Login controls feature access, but records may not automatically sync across devices.
This means your entries may not appear if you:
- Clear your browser data
- Switch devices
- Use a different browser
- Use private/incognito mode
Users should export their records regularly to keep a backup copy.
How to Use the Tracker Safely
Users should focus on objective, fact-based entries.
Encourage users to include:
- Dates and times
- Locations
- What happened
- Who was present
- Any child-related impact
- Screenshots, photos, documents, or other supporting evidence
- Follow-up actions needed
Tip: Write entries as if a professional may read them later. Keep the tone factual, specific, and respectful.
Practice / Demo Data
The Practice with Demo Data button is for learning how the tracker works.
Demo records are not meant to be included in real reports, exports, or case documentation.
Before entering real case information, users should delete any demo records they do not want included in reports or exports.
